Is there anyway to convert the contracts
into a MS Word format? I'd even be happy with a cut and paste.
Both
contract templates (Long term and Short term) that are offered with Gigorama™
do offer a MS Word version. You will be able to gain access to
these under (Help/Letters and Templates) once Gigorama™ is unlocked.
NOTE: The MS Word versions are templates that can be modified, but they
are not "Auto Complete" like the contracts that Gigorama™ generates.
You can convert the automated contracts into a PDF, (Portable Document
Format) file if you have a PDF printer driver, such as, Adobe PDF Writer
selected on you system. This makes it easy to email as an attachment.
ALSO: The automated contracts can be exported as a TEXT or HTML document
during the printing process. (You can then cut and paste).
NOTE: This is not a refined process, but it can be done. [Back]
How do backup and restores
of the data work?
Gigorama™ will automatically backup data to the hard drive in the Gigorama™/Data
folder. The user has the option to backup to a floppy or other drive then
simply locate the file and click the RESTORE button. However, some users
still prefer to manually backup the entire Gigorama™ folder when changing
operating systems or migrating to a different computer. [Back]
Is
there a way to include OTHER COUNTRIES and not just states of the United
States in the contacts / venues, etc.?
Not at this time. [Back]
I
would like to know how we could use this program if we are two people,
one at the office and one on the road with the bands. So... how could
we use the program in a way that we both would be up to date always?
Gigorama™ offers a Synchronization / Virtual Network feature.
Two (registered users) can transfer Virtual Network files between each
other. This process would synchronize (both) user's data. (Any gig data
that one user does not have will be added to the recipient’s data
and display accordingly on the main screen as if entered by the original
user.
NOTE: For a full sync, both users would have to own a fully registered
copy (with two different registration/unlock codes) of Gigorama™. (The
sync feature will not work using a single registration/unlock code on
two different computers).
The VIRTUAL NETWORK EDITION allows limited synchronization using the FREE
VN Reader software. [Back]
Is
Gigorama™ able to send personalized emails to contacts or groups of contacts
for example: STAFF/MUSICIANS, ETC?

How
does Gigorama™ track earnings by groups (staff/musicians/etc.) or individually
or both?
The Financial Summary database will handle this process quite easily for
both, the band leader and each individual band member. Select a band member

parameters and click on the (Refresh) button. [Back]
Why
do the dates display incorrectly in my copy of Gigorama™?

What
is Virtual Network?
Gigorama™
Virtual Network/Virtual Network feature allows you to transfer important
new gig data to other band members via e-mail attachment or floppy disk.
Say for instance you do all the booking for your band and have booked
five gigs over the past two weeks and now you’re ready to synchronize
the entire band’s data to their own registered copy of Gigorama™.
When you select CREATE from the Virtual Network menu Gigorama™ will sweep
a span of time or specific date perimeters that you select. After all
the data is collected Gigorama™ then compiles it into a VIRTUAL NETWORK
file, ready for transfer. [Back]
How
do I create a Virtual Network file?
When
you select “Create” from the Virtual Network menu. Gigorama™
will ask you from what starting date to what ending date you wish to create
a Virtual Network file. EXAMPLE: February 1st through February 28th. Gigorama™
will search through the selected date range to locate new gig data and
process the Virtual Network file. When it’s time to transfer the
Virtual Network file simply log onto the internet or access your e-mail
service, select “Attach File”, locate and select the Virtual
Network file on your hard drive and press the send button. You can also
save the Virtual Network file to a floppy disk and give a copy to each
band member. NOTE: You will need to register Gigorama™ to unlock this function.
How
do I open a Virtual Network file?
There are two ways to receive and open your Virtual Network
files.
1. A user who also has a full working copy of Gigorama™
can receive and open a Virtual Network file.
When you receive a Virtual Network as an e-mail attachment or on a floppy
disk simply double click the Virtual Network icon. The Virtual Network
file will launch Gigorama™ and update your files automatically. You will
see new gigs on the calendar screen and earnings in the Monthly earnings
column on the main screen. To see more details press “V” on
your keyboard or double click on the new selection from the View/Edit
window just below the Main calendar screen.
NOTE: You will need to register Gigorama™ to unlock this function. [Back]
2. Use the FREE Virtual Network Reader
This will only work with the Virtual Network, multi-user version.
The recipient must receive an exclusive Unlock, Reader Key which is generated
by the bandleader who is using a fully, unlocked copy of Gigorama™ Virtual
Network Edition software.
Will a Virtual Network file transfer set
list data?
Not with this version of Gigorama™. This function will be reserved for
an upcoming version. [Back]
Does
Gigorama™’s Cool links feature work with Net Scape’s browser?
Yes! Gigorama™, "Cool Links" feature works with both Microsoft
Explore and Net Scape Navigator.[Back]
Is there a Mac version of Gigorama™?
No, at least not right now. [Back]
Is
there a way to change a gig date after it has been booked?
Yes there is, but as far as changing the date of a gig
after it has already been booked, there is no specific command for this.
However, there is an easy work around. For now you will need to drag-and-drop
the gig date (the green number on the calendar screen) to the new, desired
date then delete the unwanted date. This is an important function, which
will be included in an upgrade. [Back]
How
do I backup my gig data?
The Gigorama™ was designed to automatically backup files to the Gigorama™
folder on your hard drive. If you chose to backup to a floppy select drive
"A" in Gigoramas' "Backup Manager" (located in the FILE
menu) and press the "Backup Now" button. The "Back up Manager"
will safely backup your gig data to a floppy disc.[Back]
How do I perform a manual backup?
A manual backup is the prefered method for many users when upgrading to another computer, etc.
Hers's how: In Windows C Drive, locate the PROGRAMS folder. Unside the PROGRAMS FOLDER locate the GIGORAMA folder. Copy the entire Gigorama folder and replace it with the new GIGORAMA FOLDER that Gigorama created when it was installed on the new computer. When you run Gigorama on the new computer all of your data will be in Gigorama no the new computer.

Will
Gigorama™ let me book reoccurring gigs?
Yes, there are two ways to do this with Gigorama™. [Back]
1. You can simply drag-n-drop a gig anywhere on the calendar
screen and Gigorama™ will copy your gig data to the new date or if the
gig occurs in a different month simply drag the gig to the MONTH or YEAR
window located in the upper left-hand corner of the calendar screen. Gigorama™
will ask you to "Select the date that you wish to copy the gig to",
select your date and Gigorama™ will do the rest. [Back]
2. On the GIG DATA screen there is a button in the upper-right-hand
corner with a question mark that reads, LONG TERM? click on this button
to designate a long term or reoccurring gig. (Apparently it was easier
to fit the words "Long Term" rather than "Reoccurring Gig").
NOTE: You will need to register Gigorama™ to unlock this function. But
you can still drag-n-drop for now. [Back]
Once a gig has been booked, is it possible
to change it to a long-term engagement later?
There is no specific command for this, but there is a quick and easy workaround
to make this happen. You must first delete and replace the current gig
with Long-term selected. This option will be available in a subsequent
version. [Back]
How
does AUTO COMPLETE work?
For this to work you must first enter musician’s
names in the musician’s data base. Gigorama™ will then pull musicians
from that data base when you try to input musicians in the GIG DATA screen.
The same thing with CLUBS and RESTAURANTS databases as well. Make sure
that you have all of those entrees that you are aware of and Gigorama™
will pull from this database when you start inputting data in the LOCATION
section of the GIG DATA screen. You can also customize certain Auto Complete
functions in Gigorama™. You will see the SETTINGS button once you launch
the Enter a New Gig screen. [Back]
How
far in advance can I book gigs with Gigorama?
Gigorama lets you book gigs up to two years past any current year. [Back] |
